  • Supervise co-ordinate and schedule the activities of staff who prepare, portion and serve food
  • Estimate and order ingredients and supplies required for meal preparation
  • Prepare food order summaries for chef according to requests for customers
  • Participate in the selection of food service staff and assist in the development of policies, procedures and budgets
  • Train and develop new and existing staff, motivating and encouraging staff to achieve targets, coordinating scheduling
  • Make sure that all hygiene and sanitation standards are met and effectively comply with health and safety regulations
  • Handle customer complaints and conflicts
  • Ensure food stocks are in check and inventory is managed effectively and meet quality control standards
  • Make certain that the cleanliness of the restaurant and work areas is managed appropriately
  • Perform marketing activities to ensure recurring and new business
  • Constantly train and mentor existing employees to deliver food service excellence
  • Reporting to and attending regular meetings with owners or office representatives


  • 1 year cooking and managing experience in a Caribbean Restaurant
  • Completion of secondary school
  • Professional attitude is required
